MES Solutions Peer Review Services is Reaccredited as a URAC Independent Review Organization

Norwood, Massachusetts - MES Solutions Peer Review Services announced today that it has been awarded re-accreditation as an Independent Review Organization, (IRO) from URAC, a Washington, DC-based healthcare accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry. URAC standards assure that organizations are free from conflicts of interest, establish qualifications for physician reviewers, address medical necessity and experimental treatment issues as well as have reasonable time periods for standard and expedited reviews and appeals processes. The National Association of Independent Review Organizations has issued a position statement urging state and federal recognition of the URAC standards to promote consistency and fairness for both patients and employers.
